GMA WEEK

May, 1 2009Comment

We had a great week at GMA hanging out with all of our friends and doing tons of interviews. Of course we were talking about our new tours coming up soon… we’re excited to announce that we are going to have a 3 week World Vision tour in Canada and that DownHere is going to be opening the show!!! They are an awesome Canadian band and we can’t wait to hang with you guys in Tim Horton country!! Also we just got the good news that we’re finally buying our own sound system. We’re all totally stoked about that and we’ll be in production rehearsals next month getting ready to bring all the new stuff out on the road!!

GMA is always a good time to reflect on the year and all of the cool things we got to do. As I think back over this year, the number one word that characterizes it is “growth”. All of the men in the band have grown spiritually, all of us have a different level of confidence in our calling for sure, and we’ve seen more people at our shows than any year in our history. We are truly amazed at how you guys have supported us through this past year and we just want to say… thank you so much.

People often ask me how they can support us in what we’re doing and I usually say prayer… but today I want to be candid and say this… if you believe in us as men, and Building429 as a ministry I’d like to ask you to please get our newest CD. I’ve noticed recently that somewhere in the mix of what we do and in the growth of our band some people have started to believe that we’ve got it made. And while we truly have enjoyed the greatest year of our career, nothing could be further from the truth. Honestly as a father, a husband, and a band member I will say that nothing is more discouraging than having a conversation with a friend who is close to my family and a “supporter” of our band only to find that they don’t have our CD. Understand that our CD is how we take care of our families, it’s how we hope for the future and it is the measure of the devotion of our fans. Every single CD sold or not sold has a profound effect on the future of Building429 and more importantly, our families. If you believe in us as you have shown that you do in this last year, please get our CD. It will make our live show a lot more fun for you, I promise!!!!! You guys rock and we’ll see you soon!!

Blessings,
Jason
